In Bed with My Brother-in-Law: Cast, Episodes & Where to Watch

What is In Bed with My Brother-in-Law about?

In Bed with My Brother-in-Law is set inside a world of old New York crime families where marriages are arranged like business deals. Bella Miller has been promised since long before she had any say in it to Hunter Gotti, a son of the most powerful mafia family in the city. A decades-old pact between the Millers and the Gottis means Miller daughters marry Gotti sons, and nobody expects love to be part of the arrangement.

Bella has made peace with a loveless marriage. What she cannot accept is humiliation. On what is supposed to be her wedding day, Hunter fails to show up, and Bella finds him with another woman, his cousin Mia Vance. Still in her wedding dress, she breaks off the engagement on the spot.

Then she does something reckless. Wanting to hit back at Hunter in the most personal way she can think of, Bella goes to a country club, spends the night with a man she believes is a stranger and pays him off with the Gotti family's black card. It is meant to be a private act of revenge and a one-time thing.

It is not a stranger. The man in her bed is Damian Gotti, Hunter's older brother and the real power at the head of the family. Bella does not know that yet, and the first act draws a lot of its tension from that gap. When the Gottis pull her back into the marriage arrangement, she finds herself at family dinners and gatherings face to face with the man she spent the night with, now as his future sister-in-law.

Damian, for his part, has no intention of pretending that night did not happen. ReelShort's synopsis describes him pursuing her relentlessly under his brother's nose, while Bella tries to protect herself and her family inside a household full of secrets. The early episodes set up a dangerous triangle: a cheating fiancé who still believes he owns her, a mafia boss who wants her for himself, and a woman who has decided she is done being anyone's property.

Main characters

Bella Miller

The eldest daughter of the Miller family, promised to Hunter Gotti under a long-standing marriage pact. She is tired of being treated as an obligation, and her decision to fight back on her own terms sets the entire story in motion.

Damian Gotti

Hunter's older brother and the head of the Gotti family. Powerful, possessive and very used to getting what he wants, he takes a personal interest in Bella after their night together.

Hunter Gotti

Bella's fiancé and Damian's younger brother. Entitled and openly unfaithful, he treats the marriage pact as a license to do whatever he wants while expecting Bella to fall in line.

Mia Vance

Hunter's cousin, the woman Bella catches him with on their wedding day. Her relationship with Hunter is the first crack in the arrangement the two families built.

Why people are watching In Bed with My Brother-in-Law

It is one of ReelShort's biggest recent hits. Within about six weeks of its late-August 2026 premiere, the ReelShort page showed more than 118 million plays, and the series has been featured on the ReelShort homepage. Whatever you think of the premise, a lot of people are watching and talking about it.

The setup is lean and effective. Wedding-day betrayal, a revenge hookup and the reveal that the stranger is the groom's brother all land in the opening stretch, so the show gets to the forbidden-attraction tension almost immediately and then keeps the pressure on with every family dinner and every scene where Damian and Bella are in the same room as Hunter.

Bella is more active than the title suggests. She is not a passive prize being passed between brothers; the first move of the story is her choice, and the series keeps returning to her refusal to be treated as property under the old family pact.

Two honest notes. First, this is a mature romance: it opens with infidelity and a one-night stand, deals with mafia violence and family coercion, and leans hard into taboo attraction. ReelShort does not put an adults-only label on it, but it is best suited to viewers 18 and up. Second, ReelShort flags the series as AI-generated, so there is no live cast. If either of those is a deal-breaker, the 15 free episodes will tell you quickly.

Tropes and themes

Forbidden romance: the attraction at the center of the story is between a woman and her fiancé's brother. ReelShort tags it Taboo and Love Triangle, and the show gets most of its tension from how impossible the relationship looks on paper.

Mafia: the Gotti and Miller families are crime dynasties bound by an old marriage pact. The criminal world raises the stakes of every secret, because exposure means more than embarrassment.

Revenge: Bella's first decision is an act of payback against a cheating fiancé. ReelShort tags it Getting Back at Ex, and that impulse colors her choices through the early episodes.

Family drama: arranged marriages, sibling rivalry between two very different brothers and the expectations placed on daughters in both families give the story a domestic, inside-the-house tension beyond the romance.
